Datafeed

A datafeed is a document usually in Excel or .csv format with data for importing into a database. Datafeeds can usually be opened and viewed in spreadsheet applications like Open Office or Microsoft Excel.

Data in different columns of a datafeed file are usually separate by a comma, pipe symbol,  or tab. The pipe symbol or tab are the best options since commas are often in the content and if the content uses the same "delimiter" the rest of the feed will not be correctly imported.
